Fall Down Seven Times, Stand Up Eight
This is a great example of a company intelligently marketing itself through interesting content that also humanises its brand and connects with the principles of its founder. In this short film the Japanese automobile and motorcyle manufacturer - Honda - uses a number of its employees - its former CEO, as well as its engineers and designers - to talk about how failure shaped their route to success.
It's not often that we see or hear a company outwardly discussing its failures, but this reflects the enlightened vision of Honda's founder, described by some as the Japanese Henry Ford, who always believed in embracing failure:
"Success represents the 1% of your work which results from the 99% that is called failure."
Soichiro Honda - Founder of Honda (1906-1991)
